ABOUT

Nathali Elfström is a Sweden-based artist and fashion designer working with textiles as both material and method. With a background in art from Stockholms Konstskolan and design studies at The Swedish School of Textiles, her practice is grounded in material research, craft, social sustainability and circular production processes.

Elfström explores garments and textiles as wearable, sculptural and conceptual forms, examining the relationship between body, material, traditional crafting techniwues and social structures. Developed through reuse and alternative making techniques, her work balances strong visual expression with ethical and environmental awareness.

Her practice spans art, fashion and design. Her work has been presented in Vogue, at London and Stockholm Fashion Week, at Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg and led SAAM workshops in Washington, D.C., supported by the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

She has created custom looks for Alok V Menon, styled for the Guldbagge Awards, and contributed to projects for Loreen, Madonna and Björk.

Through material exploration and traditional crafting techniques, Elfström challenges dominant narratives around sustainability, placing it at the core of artistic and design-led inquiry.
